Once upon a time, in Melinda’s notebook, lived five colorful and special letters: V, W, X, Y, and U. Each letter had its own favorite thing to do, but they all had to share just one page. And that made things a little tricky sometimes.
 
Letter V loved vanilla! It liked to imagine scoops of yummy vanilla ice cream.  
Letter W liked playing with wiggly worms—just toy worms, of course!  
Letter X was fascinated by X-ray fish, tiny see-through fish that it loved to watch.  
Letter Y always said “Yes! Yes!” to everything and loved yawning at the end of the day.  
And Letter U dreamed of riding a unique unicorn uphill, galloping into the sky.
 
But with only one page to share, things were getting crowded.
